BIG Comics and American Mythology have opened retailer preorders for BRONZE STAR, a four-issue werewolf Western from Mike Baron and Pat Broderick, hitting comic shops January 27, 2027.

Media Release – BRONZE STAR IS RIDING INTO COMIC SHOPS! Just in time for Halloween, BIG Comics and American Mythology announce that BRONZE STAR, the blood-soaked weird Western from Eisner Award-winning writer Mike Baron (Nexus, The Badger, Deadman) and legendary artist Pat Broderick (Micronauts, Firestorm, Creature Commandos), is now available for retailer preorder through Lunar Distribution.

Originally published as crowdfunded graphic novels, BRONZE STAR will reach comic shops as a four-issue limited series beginning January 27, 2027, with regular editions priced at just $4.99.

Set in the untamed West of 1880, the story follows wanted gunslinger Harley Brogden to Cobb’s Gap, a dying mining town where people disappear into an abandoned silver mine and the sheriff harbors a monstrous secret. It’s six-shooters, werewolves, and supernatural horror where Sergio Leone meets H.P. Lovecraft!

The release marks a welcome return to comic shop shelves for new creator-owned work from two industry veterans. Broderick, whose celebrated Marvel and DC career spans decades, also co-created DC’s Creature Commandos, the supernatural team recently brought to animation by James Gunn.
