From the Oscar-nominated animation studio behind The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, and Wolfwalkers, comes this graphic novel adaptation of the Netflix film.

Inspired by Ruth Stiles Gannett’s much-loved, Newbery-honored children’s classic book, My Father’s Dragon, the graphic novel, is adapted from Netflix’s critically acclaimed film starring Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things), Whoopi Goldberg (The Color Purple), and Rita Moreno (West Side Story).

With stunning artwork from five-time Academy Award®-nominated animation studio Cartoon Saloon (“The Secret of Kells”, “Song of the Sea”, “Wolfwalkers”) and Academy Award®-nominated director Nora Twomey (“The Breadwinner”), My Father’s Dragon tells the story of Elmer, who struggling to cope after a move to the city with his mother, runs away in search of Wild Island and a young dragon who waits to be rescued. Elmer’s adventures introduce him to ferocious beasts, a mysterious island and the friendship of a lifetime.
