Image Comics celebrates the winners of the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, highlighting achievements in various categories including “Best New Series” and “Best Coloring.”

Media Release – Image Comics congratulates all the winners of last night’s Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards and thanks the members of the industry for all their ongoing support of creator-owned comics.

Deniz Camp and Eric Zawadzki took home the award in “Best New Series” category for their breakout hit, Assorted Crisis Events.

Martin Simmonds was honored with the award in “Best Painter/Multimedia Artist” category for his work on The Department of Truth.

Jordie Bellaire, who colored both Assorted Crisis Events and The Department of Truth along with Exquisite Corpses, W0RLDTR33, G.I. Joe, and more, won for the “Best Coloring.”

Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, who lettered the Author Immortal series, and many others, won the award for “Best Lettering.”

For fans who haven’t yet had a chance to pick up copies of this latest round of Eisner Award winning titles, there will be copies for sale at SDCC booth #1915.

The Will Eisner Comic Industry awards are voted on by comics industry members and the awards ceremony is held in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con International every year.
