“There’s been a huge aftermarket demand for Savage Dragon of late with some issues selling for hundreds of dollars apiece. That’s all fine and dandy, of course but more than anything I’d like fans of the book to be able to easily afford and read the stories,” said Larsen. “This one caught a few readers by surprise because I had a slightly modified final page, which was a bit more explosive than the other version—and this edition reprints that rare variant. Enjoy!”

In Savage Dragon #280, the surviving members of the rescue team that went into Russia fight their final battle in an effort to come home.

Larsen’s Savage Dragon is the longest-running, full-color comic book series to feature a single artist/writer and first launched, alongside the company’s founding, in 1992. It continues to release in trade paperback and hardcover collected editions and regularly releases new single issues. It is swiftly approaching its next milestone issue, #300.

Savage Dragon #280, second printing (UPC: 70985305211128012) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, August 5.

Savage Dragon #280 will also be available across many digital platforms, including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
